Adelaide in South Australia is the nations fifth largest city and is home to just over 1.1 million people. With lots of parks and relaxing walks on offer, it's a nice place to visit. The botanical gardens and Zoo are the perfect locations for spending quality time with the family.

Getting to Adelaide
A flight from Sydney to Adelaide takes around 2 hours. By car the journey is 1000 miles and takes considerably longer to cover. If a good lo' train trip is more your pace, then this is also possible. Travelling with the Indian Pacific takes exactly 24 hours. This train also continues on to Perth.
Weather
A typical Australian climate is enjoyed in Adelaide. Most of the rain fall occurs in Winter leaving Summer hot and dry. Board shorts, sunscreen and insect repellent are a must have between November and March.. During these months temperatures can reach up to 40 C 100F

Laze about and take a picnic in the picturesque surrounds of the Adelaide botanic gardens or other parklands.
